Jio Sparq Solar Micro-inverter | Authorized Distributor
Manufactured in India by Reliance under JioThings brand
Jio Sparq Solar Microinverter - India's only grid-connected inverter that can work even when there is no power, with all other benefits of a microinverter
More information:
Jio Spark is a made in India solar micro-inveter solution with IoT gateway integration. Jio Spark has been launched by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) under the JioThings brand. JioThings is the world's only organisation that provides edge devices, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, portals, installation, and aftermarket services - all under a single roof! The next-gen IoT solutions provide diagnostic data, monitor performance and control capabilities.
1. What models of Jio Sparq microinverters are available?
Jio Sparq is available in two primary models: the Q2000 (Quad, 2kW) and the new Dual (1kW). The Quad connects to 4 panels, while the Dual connects to 2 panels. Loop Solar stocks both models to offer flexible design options for any roof size.
2. Does Jio Sparq work during a power cut?
Yes. This is its unique "Dual Mode" feature. Unlike standard grid-tied inverters that shut down during outages (anti-islanding), Jio Sparq can intelligently switch to an off-grid mode. It allows you to run essential appliances directly from solar power during the day, even without a battery.
3. Who is the largest distributor for Jio Sparq in India?
Loop Solar is the largest authorized distributor for Jio Sparq microinverters in India. We supply the complete ecosystem (Inverters, IoT Gateway, Cabling) to installers across the country from our 10+ warehouses. We offer exclusive bulk pricing for EPCs.
4. How does Jio Sparq handle shadow on the roof?
It features independent MPPT channels for every panel. If one panel is shaded by a tree or water tank, only that panel's output drops. The others continue to generate at 100%. In a string inverter, one shaded panel would drag down the performance of the entire system.
5. Is Jio Sparq safer than string inverters?
Yes. It is an "All-AC" system. It converts dangerous High-Voltage DC (600V-1000V) into safe AC power right on the roof. This eliminates the risk of DC arc faults and fire hazards, making it the safest choice for residential homes and schools. Loop Solar recommends it for all safety-critical installations.
6. What is the best Jio Sparq configuration for a 3kW PM Suryaghar system?
With the launch of the new 1kW model, the perfect 3kW setup is: One Q2000 (2kW) + One Dual (1kW). Previously, customers had to buy two 2kW units (totaling 4kW), which was an over-investment. This new "3kW Combo" from Loop Solar matches the subsidy limit exactly, saving you money.
7. Do I need batteries to use the backup feature?
No. The "Daytime Backup" works without batteries. As long as the sun is shining, Jio Sparq can power your home load directly. However, Loop Solar can also help you design a hybrid system with batteries if night-time backup is required.
8. What is the warranty on Jio Sparq inverters?
Jio Sparq comes with a standard 12-year warranty, extendable to 25 years. This matches the 25-year life of solar panels, unlike string inverters which typically need replacement after 10-12 years. Loop Solar manages the warranty process directly for our customers.
9. Can I monitor my generation on my phone?
Yes. The system includes a Jio IoT Gateway that connects to the SparqLinq App. You can see panel-level generation data in real-time. Since it uses Jio's robust 4G/IoT network, connectivity is far more reliable than standard Wi-Fi dongles.
10. Is Jio Sparq approved for PM Suryaghar subsidy?
Yes. Jio Sparq is a "Made in India" product and fully compliant with government subsidy norms. Its high efficiency and safety profile make it the preferred choice for the 1kW-3kW residential rooftop segment targeted by the PM Suryaghar scheme.
11. Is the installation difficult?
No, it is "Plug-and-Play." The units mount under the solar panels and use standard MC4 connectors. Loop Solar supplies the specialized AC Trunk Cable and T-Connectors needed to link the 2kW and 1kW units seamlessly.
12. Is Jio Sparq expensive?
While the upfront cost is slightly higher than string inverters, the Lifetime Cost of Energy (LCOE) is lower. You save money by not replacing the inverter in year 10, and you generate 10-15% more power due to shade optimization. Loop Solar offers wholesale rates that make it very competitive.
13. Is it weather-proof?
Yes, it is IP67 rated. It is completely dust-tight and can withstand water immersion. The electronics are "potted" (sealed in resin) to protect against the extreme heat and humidity of Indian summers. Loop Solar stocks these rugged units for projects in Rajasthan and coastal areas.
14. Can I expand my system later?
Yes. This is a major advantage. With string inverters, adding panels is difficult. With Jio Sparq, you can simply buy one more 1kW (Dual) or 2kW (Quad) unit and add panels anytime. Loop Solar sells individual units to facilitate easy expansion.
15. Which panels work with Jio Sparq?
It is compatible with all 60, 72, 144, and 156-cell modules. It works perfectly with high-wattage Adani Mono-PERC and TOPCon panels (up to 680W). Loop Solar can supply a complete "Adani Panel + Jio Inverter" kit for guaranteed compatibility.
16. Does it handle Indian grid voltage fluctuations?
Yes. Designed specifically for India, it has a wide operating voltage range. It is far more resilient to grid instability than imported European inverters, reducing "tripping" issues in rural areas. This makes it ideal for Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
17. Can I use Jio Sparq for commercial projects?
Absolutely. For commercial rooftops with complex shapes or shading issues, Jio Sparq is superior. It also offers Rapid Shutdown capability, which is increasingly mandatory for factory fire safety. Loop Solar supplies bulk quantities for C&I projects.
18. Does the inverter make noise?
No. It uses natural convection cooling (no fans). It is completely silent, unlike large string inverters that have noisy cooling fans. This is perfect for residential installations where silence is important.
19. What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) at Loop Solar?
We have no strict MOQ. You can buy a single Quad or Dual inverter for a small project or 100+ units for a large project. We support installers of all sizes with the same technical attention.
20. Who provides technical support?
Loop Solar provides Level 1 technical support. Our engineers can guide you through the commissioning process and IoT setup. For hardware issues, we facilitate the direct warranty replacement with Jio's service team.
